| THE COMPANY D'Shell Designs is a fashion design company specializing in custom jewelry. The quality and uniqueness of each piece, a keen sense of style, and exceptional customer service differentiate this design house from competitors. D'Shell Designs offers jewelry in a variety of six different style lines and additional specialty lines. Each line bears the name of one of the designer's dogs (past and present) and reflects the personality of the dog it’s named after. Although the D’Shell Designs jewelry pieces can be mixed and matched from line to line, the different style lines provide organization by a general theme. The purpose of these lines is not to limit your creativity, but to provide you with a direction for the look you want to achieve with a particular outfit. Dawn Anderson Graham, Owner and Designer, handcrafts each piece individually to give it a unique identity. All beads and gemstones are carefully selected from around the world to provide the utmost in variety. |
| THE DESIGNER Dawn Anderson Graham, owner and designer of D'Shell Designs, has been in the fashion design industry since 1991. Growing up in a Connecticut town, an hour outside Manhattan, she attended the University of Connecticut, beginning in design, and received her Bachelor's Degree from the School of Family Studies. She moved to Sacramento, California, shortly after graduating from the University of Connecticut in 1985. While living on the West Coast, Dawn worked in the modeling and fitness industries. She met her husband in California, and they moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1990. In 1991, she began designing her own line of jewelry under a company called Wild Concepts. After a number of years, and with valuable experience under her (always fashionable) belt, she started D'Shell Designs in December of 2004. In addition to her passion for art and fashion, she has always loved animals, especially dogs, and her dogs are the inspiration behind each of her lines. She and her husband currently have four dogs, three of which are rescue dogs. She supports both the humane treatment of animals and punishment for animal cruelty, supports local pet rescue organizations, and is a member and monthly supporter of the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). |
| THE PRODUCTS The beads used in D’Shell Designs jewelry are purchased from vendors all over the country; indeed, all across the world. Quality gemstones, such as turquoise, aquamarine, quartz, garnet, jade, and onyx; materials including Swarovski crystal, glass, sterling silver, gold, and vermeil; and unique beads made from coral, Ethiopian copper, Kenyan cow bone, and snake vertebrae are just some of the components in the D'Shell Designs jewelry collection. D’ Shell Designs specializes in custom design, reworking outdated pieces of jewelry, some jewelry repair work, and bead embellishment.
